simplestores™ is a founder-led ecommerce SaaS platform based out of Tamil Nadu. One dashboard replaces the seven tools most Indian merchants are duct-taping together to run a modern online business — storefront, POS, WhatsApp orders, UPI checkout, GST invoicing, shipping labels, HR and 24/7 support.
Launching publicly on July 25, 2026 with our founding batch of Bharat merchants. Registered as SIMPLESTORES INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED.
simplestores™ isn't just a dashboard. We advise our founding-batch merchants on positioning, pricing, launch strategy, GST + Tally setup, WhatsApp operations, shipping choices and post-launch growth. One 30-minute call is on us — the deeper advisory work runs monthly, as many sessions as it takes to see your business profitable.
Founder-led, WhatsApp-first. We'll audit your business and hand back a short-list of the three levers that move your revenue most.

What we had was one rule repeated every morning — learn everything you can, because that's the only thing no one can take from you. Every founding-team member has run a shop, a service business, or a small company before touching this codebase. Some of us worked abroad, saved every rupee, sent it home, and came back to India with a modest bag of money — and the belief that if we could survive there, we could build something here.
Back home we started small — service businesses first, then shops, then companies. We became the merchants we had once looked up to. From the outside it looked like every founder story you scroll past on your phone. But we will tell you the quiet truth — we sold things. We invoiced clients. We ran businesses. Nobody said our brand name.
Then, in 2020, the world stopped. Orders vanished. Teams went home. Companies people had spent nine years building went quiet in nine weeks. The only question that mattered was — what actually happened to our businesses? The answer was uncomfortable. We had worked for money, never for a name. When the storm came, our customers had no reason to look for us. There were many shops. They chose someone else.
So we stopped working. We started listening. We sat with the old shopkeepers we'd grown up watching — tailors, tea-stall owners, tiffin cooks, attar sellers, grouting men. Most were in the same place we were. Some worse. Small shops were closing one after another, not because their products were poor, but because there was no brand between them and the customer — no line back to the buyer, no way to say come back to me. Meanwhile the ones who had even a small ecommerce foothold — a domain, a WhatsApp channel, a repeat-order flow — were surviving. Some were becoming brands. That gap became our obsession.
We spent the next years decoding that gap. Seven years of listening. Four years of writing code. Every feature you see on simplestores was built for the merchant who never sat inside a big classroom, who has ₹500 in her Google Pay balance, whose only computer is the same phone she calls her mother on. Simple. Affordable. Never a fat commission on your hard-earned sale.
Today we are launching that dream. And we want to be honest with you — it isn't only ours any more. If you sell tea from a roadside cart, attar from a lane in Old Delhi, grouting services in Ambattur, or hand-stitched blouses from your kitchen table — this platform belongs to you. Our dream today is your brand tomorrow. Come stand on it with us.
This roadmap is aspirational — dates, features and horizons will move as we learn from the founding batch. We'll republish it every anniversary so you can audit us against yesterday's promise.
Recorded from a small town in Tamil Nadu. The origin story of simplestores — the merchants the founding team grew up watching, the wall those merchants hit when they tried to go online, and the platform built so no Bharat merchant has to negotiate with a foreign brand ever again.
Founding-batch merchants get lifetime founding pricing, a direct WhatsApp line to our team, and a permanent seat on the product-decision panel.
